Marlene Rozell, age 75, of Burton, died Friday, May 26, 2017, at Mclaren-Flint. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. There will be an Eagles memorial service on Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Marlene’s memory may direct them towards American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Ms. Rozell was born January 19, 1942, in Flint to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Cleo (Carlton) Clark. She retired as a bookkeeper from Blue Lakes Charters and Tours. Marlene was a member of the Burton Eagles #3814 and the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge 2344. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her dog Benji. In her free time, Marlene loved going boating, singing karaoke at the Burton Eagles, working in her yard and her flower garden, watching her soaps on TV, and solving word search puzzles.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Jim Rozell Jr., Shannon Rozell and partner, Ron Baumgarten, and Kathy and husband, Don Hodgkinson; five grandchildren: Nicholas, Audrey, Moriah and husband, Victor, DJ, and Jordan; great-granddaughter Amaya Hope; two sisters: Sharon and Sparkie; brother, Larry.
She is welcomed into heaven by her parents and two siblings: Beverly and Ken.
