FLORKOWSKI, Gary Michael - Age 71, of Byron, died July 21, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, July 26, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, with a rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of Mass Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Gary Sinise Foundation. Gary was born June 2, 1948 in Flint the son of Harry and Anastasia "Ann" (Zima) Florkowski. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. Mr. Florkowski retired from General Motors, after 35 years of service. He loved gardening and his Harley motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Sandy; brothers, Gerald and Bill; sisters, Mary Ann (Mike) Watson, Patricia (Dave) Goheen, Maureen (Joe) Pontello; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
