Curtis Claude Newcombe, age 85, of Drummond Island, Formerly of Columbiaville died May 4, 2014 at home with his loving family.
Curtis was born August 14, 1928 in Columbiaville to the late Claude and Bernice Newcombe ( Barnes ). He later married Lucille H. Barry on February 22, 1952 in Columbiaville. Curtis served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and retired from AC Spark in 1975.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille,
Children: Pam Barber of Davison, Gail Slawter of Davison, Curt ( Melinda ) Newcombe of Goodrich, Jeff ( Kathy ) Newcombe of Birchrun,
Sister: Betty Baker of Davison.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and special nephew and friend Mike Newcombe. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Curtis Jr., daughter Vickie, and brother Winston.
Funeral service Wednesday 11:00 AM from Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit on Tuesday 3-9 PM. Pastor Debbie Line-Yencer officiating. Cremation to follow the service and his cremains will be buried at Wood Lawn Cemetery on a later date.
Memorials in memory of Curtis may be made to the American Cancer Treatment Centers of America. |
