Clarence VanWagner
Age 84 of New Lothrop passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Monday, July 9 from 2:00 to 8:00pm and Tuesday, July 10 from 10:00am till the time of service.
Clarence was born August 28, 1933 in Chesaning, the son of Ralph and Twilo (Lee) VanWagner in Chesaning. He graduated from Chesaning Union High School and then attended the DeVry Technical School and the GM Institute. He married the love of his life Willah Jo VanWagner on November 24, 1956.
During his life, he worked as an electrician for General Motors, working there for over 40 years. He attended New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Lions Club for 55 years. He enjoyed going camping, golfing, watching the Tigers, and taking his yearly trip to Florida with his wife. Above all else he loved spending time with his family.
Clarence is survived by his wife Willah Jo VanWagner; his children, William (Janice) VanWagner, Dan (Pam) VanWagner, Scott (Lynn) VanWagner, James (Kaylene) VanWagner, Shawn VanWagner, Shannon Lehr (Bill Craig), and Craig (Gina) VanWagner; as well as 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his Parents; his son Robert VanWagner; and his brothers and sisters.
Memorial contributions can be made to the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene and to Twin Twp. Ambulance.
