ALTIZER, Patricia Y. “Bonnie” – Age 86, of Flint, died Monday, July 20, 2020 at her residence while surrounded by family.
She was born in Tazewell, Virginia on May 22, 1934, the youngest of ten daughters, to Thomas Cruey and Ollie (Hall) Cruey. She was a resident of Flint, Michigan for most of her life.
She married Newton Altizer in 1955. Over the years, Patricia worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Bell Telephone, a bookkeeper, and a model. However, her favorite job was being a homemaker and mother to her three daughters. She enjoyed painting and loved her family very much, and was active in her local church as a greeter. Her faith was very important to her.
Patricia is survived by her loving children, Toni(Dale)Webb, Tina(Tim)Richmond and Tara(Roger)White;
grandchildren, Brittany Easterly, Jodi(Wystan)Crismond, Jaret(Alexis)White and Carman Richmond;
great-grandchildren, Kennedy Crismond and Emerson Crismond;
sisters, Peggy Stull and Audrey(James)Whitt;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Altizer; parents and sisters, Blumia, Mozelle, Lucille, Edith, Ruth, Ruby and Tommy.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 West Bristol Road, Flint.
Visitation will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to service, Pastor Rob Prince and grandson, Jaret White officiating.
Due to Covid-19, it is requested that all guests practice social distance guidelines and wear face masks.
The family would like to send a special thank you from “Bonnie” to Dr. Kazem Hak and staff and Dr. James Chambers and staff for all their medical expertise over the years. Also, a special thank you to the many wonderful caregivers over the past year.
