DAUNT, MELISSA E. – Of Flint Township, age 50, died Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Georges Bidzogo officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass, burial of cremains later at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Estate of Melissa Daunt, these proceeds will go to a college fund for her nieces and nephew.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Melissa will be at the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass.
Melissa was born in Flint, Michigan on January 17, 1974, the daughter of Jerry W. and Susan T. (Williams) Daunt.
She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephew. She loved them like they were her own kids. Melissa was so proud of them and loved spoiling them. She was also like a second mother to her brothers and best friend to her mom. She loved camping, reading and her many cousins.
Melissa had a very giving heart and donated to numerous organizations.
She worked at Genesee District Library for over 20 years.
Melissa volunteered for the Special Olympics for 10+ years. She was a platelet donor.
Surviving are her mother, Susan;
brothers, Jeremy (Corinna), Nathan (Gina) and Jon (Megan);
nieces and nephew, Lela, Zoey, Willie and Ava.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry; brothers, Adam and Kevin. |
