KEEL, Esther M. – Of Burton, age 80, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Genesee Care Center.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Monday, August 17, 2015 at the
Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 2-7pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keel was born in Traverse City, Michigan on September 16, 1934, the daughter of the late Charles and Vila (Brimmer)Palmer.
On March 31, 1956 she married Carl Keel in Pinconning.
She was a very talented woman, an artist and loved painting, quilting, crocheting, pottery and furniture restoration; doing all sorts of crafts, sewing, gardening and reading.
She taught her kids honesty, integrity and that they could do anything they set their minds to.
She was a wonderful grandmother to all her grandchildren.
Surviving are daughter, Rhonda Williams of Arkansas;
two sons, Larry and wife Bethany of Clio and
Michael of Grand Blanc;
eight grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carl; son, Garry Louis;
daughter-in-law, Lynda Keel; four brothers and sisters.
