MUTCH, Arthur Claire - of Clio, formerly of Sterling, Michigan, age 95, passed away April 23, 2018. Beloved husband of Lucille; devoted father of James (deceased) (Addie) Mutch, Janis (Gale) Fisk, and Ronald (Nancy) Mutch; doting grandfather of Misty (David) Smaltz, Krysten (Brian) Kowalski, Justin (Jennifer) Fisk, Lauren (Michael) Browning, Kevin (Summer) Fisk, Kimberly Mutch and Jeffrey Mutch; also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Claire was born in Sterling, MI on January 17, 1923 to John Otis and Mary (Firth) Mutch. He was a graduate of Sterling High School and attended Michigan State University. He was self-employed as a farmer and retired to the Clio area in 1971. Claire was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Clio, serving on the church board at one time. He was a 33rd degree Master Mason. He served on the Arenac County Soil Conservation District, Arenac County Fair Board, Standish Lions Club, Arenac County Farm Bureau and the Sterling Public Schools Board of Education. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Helen Dean and brother Harry Mutch.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Cathi Huvaere officiating. Entombment to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2PM until 8PM and on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice. |
