DIETERLE, Duane L. – Of Flint, age 76, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Rob Prince officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
A Visitation will be held 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 and 9 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Those desiring may make contributions in Duane's memory to the Old Newsboys of Flint or Carriage Town Ministries.
Duane was born in Howell, Michigan on April 30, 1939, the son of the late Lawrence and Edna Dieterle.
He was a hard-working, God-fearing, and faithful servant and leader to his beloved family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marie;
his children, Lynne and husband David Bruff,
Jill Phillips,
Bob Phillips,
Grant and wife Kristina,
Matthew and wife Melanie;
his grandchildren, Chelsea Spann, Joel Bruff, A.J. Kessinger, Jordan Phillips, Amanda and husband Jeffrey Skaff, Alyssa and husband Henry Morrow, Ashlyn Dieterle, Alley Dieterle, Trenton Dieterle, Noah Dieterle, Peyton Dieterle, Madison Dieterle, Nolan Dieterle and “Bugga”;
great-grandchildren, Kylen Spann and Kendi Spann;
siblings, Carolyn Dieterle, Shirley Spaulding, Paul Dieterle and wife Maida;
sister-in-law, Mary Weber;
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, James Spaulding, Pete Weber and Robert Weber.
The family would like to thank Tazana, Duane’s special buddy and caregiver.
