Richard E. Marlet, age 90, of Davison / Arcadia died July 5, 2016 at The Pines Memory Care in Goodrich surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born June 26, 1926 in Delphos, Ohio; The son of the late Elmer and Lillian Marlet [Robinson]. Richard enjoyed woodworking, golf, reading, and was a past member of Elks Lodge #250 of Mainstee, Davison Shriner’s Club, life member of Masonic Lodge #23 in Flint, and the Episcopal Men’s Club in Beulah. Richard attended St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Davison. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII and retired from Fisher body in Grand Blanc in 1981.
Richard is survived by his wife Beverly,
Children: Pamela (Charles) Nast, Richard (Jean) Marlet, Sandra (William) Lewis, David Marlet, Randy Summers, Brian (Patricia) Summers, DaVaun Summers, and 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, loving first wife Irene, sister Lenore Wyatt, daughter Karen Marlet.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Davison.
Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or the church. A special thank-you to the caring and loving staff of the Pines in Goodrich and Heart to Heart Hospice.
