SEYFRIED, Philip David - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and sons Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Todd A. Biermann officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Philip’s name.
Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday and 12 Noon Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Philip was born in Flint on February 9, 1928, the son of Philip Seyfried and Thelma Thornton. He resided in the Alden and Kalkaska areas for ten years each, wintering in Port Richie, Florida and currently was residing in Grand Blanc. Philip graduated from Northern High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant during the years 1950-52. Philip worked at Buick and AC Spark Plug as an electrician and retired as plant layout and design engineer.
Surviving are wife of 63 years, Beverly;
sons, David (Marcie) Seyfried, James (Cindy) Seyfried, Mark (Julie) Seyfried and Daniel Seyfried;
6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and Christine M. Seyfried;
sisters, Sandra and Carl Tower and Shari and Harry Ginn;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Nicholas David Seyfried.
