BAILIE, Paul Bernard – Of Mt. Morris Township, age 80, died Saturday, November 23, 2019 at his home.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Jeffrey Krist officiating.
Burial in Sumner Cemetery at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, cmtausa.org.
Visitation 12 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Paul was born in Flint, Michigan on November 25, 1938, the son of Samuel and Jessie (McClenathan) Bailie.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Corporal with his brother, Robert in San Diego, California.
They bunked together, and ironically they passed away 5 months apart.
In his younger days, Paul loved to race motorcycles, loved to watch his son play baseball, and gave support to the Hamady High School Booster Club.
Because of his disability, which kept him from church, Jimmy Swaggart Ministries became his church.
Paul retired from GM.
Surviving are children, Teresa (Steve) Henderson and Steven (Valarie) Bailie;
grandchild, Alyssa (Aaron Panek) Shook;
great-grandchildren, Madalyn, Jack, Kearsten and Brooklynn Panek;
sisters, Judith Climer and Prudy (Peter) Hannigan;
brother-in-law, Donald Palmer;
sister-in-law, Lorraine Bailie;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Isabelle (Jean) Bailie and Wanda Palmer; brothers, Robert D. Bailie and infant, Jimmy Bailie.
