WARREN, Charles Eugene Sr. “Charlie” – Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Friday, November 22, 2024 at Regency at Grand Blanc with his family by his side.
A memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
Visitation 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Charles was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 17, 1944, the son of the late Charles (Peg) Warren and Margarite (Don) Carlton. He graduated from Bendle High School. Class of 1962. Charlie married Melanie Bendall on November 12, 1965 in Flint. He attended Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Charlie was an avid sportsman who enjoyed golfing, running, watching sports, playing cards and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He retired from General Motors SPO after 33 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #659.
Surviving are wife, Melanie;
sons, Charles Jr. (Scott) Warren and Michael (Debbie) Warren;
grandchildren, Charles Cook, Cameron Warren and Matthew Warren;
great-granddaughter, Victoria Cook;
siblings, Shirley (Chuck) Cross, Betty (Scott) Kincaid, Cheryl (Jim) Walker, David Carlton and Dwight Carlton.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, grandmother, Gladys Warren (who raised him), and brother, Danny Warren.
