Josephine Baker, age 89, passed away at her residence. Orthodox Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 S. Long Lake Rd, Fenton, MI. Family will receive visitors from 4-9 pm Thursday, March 9, at the church, with a 7 pm Parastas memorial service. Family will also receive visitors from 10 am Friday morning until time of service. Burial in St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery. Fr. John Baker and Fr. Gabriel Bilas officiating. Jospehine was joined in marriage to James Baker of Harriman, TN on February 17, 1950. She was the youngest of 8 children of Jovo and Manda Ljiljak. Jospehine was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and she retired from AC Sparkplug in 1993. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and she was an excellent cook. She is survived by her grandson Archpriest John(Kurt) Baker and wife Stephanie, granddaughter Amy Bradley Klumpp and husband Terry, granddaughter Lindsey Rose Caszatt, grandsons Tyler Baker and Justin Baker, 14 great grandchildren. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband James Baker, daughter Pamela Baker Caszatt, and son Charles T. Baker. |
