VanSICKLE, Joan Ruth (Campeau)– of Davison, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Entombment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will welcome visitors from 4-7 PM on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM on Monday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society, in Joan’s memory.

Joan was born in Flint, MI on September 25, 1934, daughter of the late William and Ruth (Butler) Campeau. Joan married Robert VanSickle in September of 1959. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2007. Prior to their marriage, she worked as a bookkeeper in the 1950s. She enjoyed roller skating and ice skating. Joan loved to garden and cook meals for family, especially on holidays.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Patricia VanSickle, John VanSickle and David VanSickle; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings, Bill (Donna) Campeau and Betty (Tom) Smith.
