Faber, Betty “Jean” of Flushing, age 84, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Adam Maloney will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Jean was born in Port Huron, Michigan on April 9, 1932, the daughter of Frank and Blanche (Middleton) McLaren. She married Robert Faber on May 8, 1954, in Port Huron. He preceded in death on December 22, 2012. She loved dancing and listening to music, especially listening to her husband playing the guitar. Jean enjoyed shopping, working out, and gathering with her friends at McDonalds. She also enjoyed road trips up north and fishing. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her children, Mike Faber of Arizona, Mark and wife Julie Faber of Flushing, Cindy and husband Jim Turowicz of New Lothrop; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan and Duane Glady, Sandy and Tom Moses; and dear friends, Mark and Lucy Baldwin and Barb Smith. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers and two sisters.
