Florence E. Ford, age 84, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, in Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, North Carolina. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 12, 2019, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris; Rev. Walter David officiating with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. Florence's family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive guests from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. On Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 87845 Little Ave. Charlotte, North Carolina, 28226. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Florence was born in Lincoln, Michigan, on July 25, 1934, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hector R. and Neva M. (Nevin) Dewar. She was married to the love of her life, Robert Ford on November 19, 1955, in Harrisville, Michigan. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 23, 2004. In her free time, Florence enjoyed spending time with family - especially her grandchildren. She listening to her radio, crocheting, cooking, gardening, and sewing. She also enjoyed camping with her family. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are, three children: Deborah (Douglas) Morse, David (Kathy) Ford, and Wayne (Elizabeth) Ford; 9 grandchildren: Deanna Morse, Matthew (Amanda) Morse, Robert (Scerria) Ford, Brent Ford, Christian, Zachary, Patrick, David, and Brandon Ford; 7 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Cora, Tyson, Clay, Kaylie, Brooke, and Julianne; and many other family members and friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; three brothers: Glen, Allen, Jim; and sister, Lena.
