HAYNES, Nina L. (Partlo) – Age 100, of Clio, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Cranberry Park Assisted Living of Clio. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Cathi Huvaere officiating. Private burial in West Vienna Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3PM until 9PM and on Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. In memory of Nina, contributions may be made to the Clio Senior Center.
Nina was born on May 2, 1918 in Akron, Michigan to the late Mamie and William (Harrington) Partlo. She graduated from Akron High School in 1936 and attended Beauty School in Flint. She married Loyd C. Haynes on February 11, 1939 in Auburn, Indiana. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2001. Nina enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, home improvement, cake decorating, playing cards and marbles. She also enjoyed travels to their homes in Northern Michigan and Florida.
She is survived by her children: Joanne (Dave) Crompton, and Ron (Linda) Haynes; Son in law, Donald Lee; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Nina was also preceded in death by her: Daughter, Judy Lee; Siblings: Alma, Lyle, Raymond, Norma, and Gerald. The family would like to thank Cranberry Park Assisted Living and Cardinal Hospice for all the supportive care they provided for this wonderful lady.
