WELLER, Bruce – passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. The family will receive friends at church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Weller was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his M.A. and Ed.S. degrees at Western Michigan University. Mr. Weller had been an Asst. Principal at Benjamin Sherman Middle School in Holly and had also served as an Asst. Principal at Durand High School. After he retired, he was a Real Estate Agent in the Grand Blanc and Flint areas. No matter what he was doing, he was always the educator and always the counselor. Mr. Weller was a U of M football fan and a diehard Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. He was an avid golfer and loved fishing. Surviving are: wife, Ruth Anne Weller; 2 daughters, Krysten Lindsay (Justin) Hager and Amy Weller; brothers, Dale Weller and Carl (Sharon) Weller; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan and Patrick Slater; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Weller was preceded in death by: mother, Ione Baker (step-father, Richard Baker), father Vern Weller, and brother, Gilbert Weller. Please share your condolences with the family at www.hillfh.com
