BEHME, Margaret L. (Pillen) – of Clio, age 90, died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger Officiating. Burial in West Deerfield Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8PM. Contributions may be made to the Flint Public Library-Genealogy Department or the Genesee County Genealogical Society.
Margaret was born on April 21, 1924 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harvey and Erma (Templeton) Pillen. She married Doyne E. Behme on April 30, 1955. He preceded her in death in October of 1984. Margaret was an avid Genealogy Researcher, tracing many family lines back to Charlemagne in Medieval England. She also verified that she was a direct descendent of two families that came to America on board the Mayflower.
Surviving are: daughter, Jeneane Behme; sons, Keith Behme and Eugene (Christa Saxton) Behme; grandchildren, Tara, Steven, Shannon, Stephanie, Mason, Sebastian, Mekenna and Sienna; sister, Maxine (Dean) Merritt; sister in law, Dorothy Pillen; 6 great grandchildren; lifelong friends, Virginia and Norm Neustedt.
