REGIMBAL, Thomas Walker - Of Swartz Creek, age 87, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his residence.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Thursday, February 8, 2018 at St. Pius X Church, G3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint,
Father Anthony Strouse officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Charities.
Memorial Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 11am Thursday at church until the time of the Mass.
Thomas was born in Warren, Minnesota on May 29, 1930, the son of the late Elmer and Ada Joyce Regimbal. Thomas served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed at AC Spark Plug as an Industrial Engineer. Thomas was also an Usher at the IMA Auditorium. Thomas was a member and volunteer of many organizations including St. Pius X Church, where he was in the choir, an usher, a Gardening Angel and the Tuesday Toasters; was a volunteer at North End Soup Kitchen; Scout Master; Carmen Ainsworth Sports Booster; Golfer EGL League and a member of Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. Thomas was also an Advanced Master Gardner, and avid sportsman, fisherman and camper.
Surviving are children, Anne Marie (James) Taylor, Louise (Wolfgang) Tebbe, Joseph (Sally Jo Carey) Regimbal, daughter-in-law, Kathleen McNees, Peter (Wendy Palmer) Regimbal, John (Debbie Miller) Regimbal, Theresa (Joseph) Resta, and Matthew (Lori Plafchan) Regimbal;
grandchildren, James (Tamara) Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Chelsea (Phillip) Jarrell, Rachel (Nestor) Praniuk, Zacheus (Angela) Regimbal, Xavier Regimbal, Azaria (Roxane) Reid, Rachel (Kevin Scobey) Regimbal, Ramsey Regimbal, Collin (Samantha Johnston) Regimbal, Joshua Regimbal, Clarissa (Michael) Pruismann, Leah Regimbal, Daniel Resta, Anthony Resta, Julia Resta and Stephen;
and 22 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Regimbal;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne, son Michael and great-grandson, Nicholas Taylor.
The entire family would like to express that although our loss is deep, how fortunate and blessed we feel for Thomas Walker being a part of our life and the everlasting impact he will have on us all.
