GEROW, Robert – of Mt. Morris, age 79, passed away January 10, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM at the church on Friday.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on June 22, 1937, son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Kalmen) Gerow. He married Carol Simmonds on July 15, 1961 in Genesee , MI. Robert worked at Tool and Die then became an engineer at the Fischer Body Plant on Coldwater Rd., retiring in 1994. After retirement, he worked for Cardinal and Moores Electric. He loved spending time at his cabin in Port Austin fishing with his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Jonell Eddy, Kaylene (Roger) Gabriel; grandchildren, Jacob (Andrea Conger) Gabriel, Jared (Alex Wade) Gabriel, Jordan Gabriel, Richard Eddy, Scott Eddy; great granddaughter , Khileigh Wheeler; sister, Joanne Gerow; brother, Ivan Gerow; sister-in-law, Lou (Bill) Templeton; special nephew, Scott Hitchcock and family; special niece, Stacie Soroka and family and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elmo, Agnes, Betty, Madeline, Rita, Mark, Lawrence and Ethel.
