SMITH, Danafay Carlene -Of Burton, age 76, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Central Church of the Nazarene, G-1261 West Bristol Road, Flint, Pastor Thurman E. Jones officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Smith will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
Danafay was born in Black Oak, Arkansas on May 22, 1940,
She loved singing in the choir and bowling with her friends.
Danafay loved working in her flowers and baking cookies with the grandkids.
She liked sewing and making clothes for the kids and grandkids and liked working with ceramics.
Mrs. Smith was retired from Meijer.
Surviving are husband, Howard Smith;
daughters, Cheri, Petrone and Glenda Ramsay;
sons, Darrell Thompson and Christopher Smith;
step-children, Delia Cothern, Howard Smith and Randal Smith;
11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
brothers, Randal Easley, Floyd Easley, Richard Easley and Ronnie Easley;
sisters, Nona Jadwin, Debra Easley and Rhonda Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Randal and Cloudene Easley; sister, Maxine Maldaner.
