McFALL, Gerald L. - of Burton, MI, age 98, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Paul Emory officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 and 10-11 AM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, in Gerald’s memory.
Gerald was born in Flint, MI on August 31, 1918, son of the late Harold McFall and Beatrice (Johnson) Hayden. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Gerald married Rose Marie Burpee on June 10, 1959 and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2010. In 1980, Gerald retired from Associated Truck Lines in Flint, MI after 32 years of service.
Gerald is survived by 7 children, Sharon (Jerry) Rolfe, Gary (Sue) McFall, Carolyn (Terry) Luce, Tanya (Pete) Smith, Scott (Michelle) McFall, Jim (Shiela) McFall and Sheryl (Chris Koch) McFall; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Zoe Jackson; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Dennis and Gerald McFall; first wife, Juanita McFall; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
