Ronald C. Ballard, age 92 passed away on April 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 12, 1932, in Flint, Michigan to his late parents Katherine (Adams) Ballard and Clare Ballard.
He is the beloved and devoted husband of 72 years to Arlene Ballard; loving father of Jill Ballard Page, Husband: Richard C. Page Jr, Gregory Ballard and partner: Cathy Hiltz, Joni (Ballard) Rowse, Husband: Richard Rowse and Gary Ballard. Ron is the proud grandfather of Richard C. Page III, Wife: Robyn McCue, Robert Tanner Page Wife: Meridith (Moran) Page, Andrea Klingbeil Husband: Nickolas Graybiel, Stephanie (Ballard) Bache Husband: Jamie Bache, Chase Ballard, Richard Rowse, Tyler Rowse, Parker Rowse, Madison Ballard, Ryder Ballard, Josie Ballard. Great-grandfather of Jacob Reeb, Jason Reeb, James Reeb and Harper Graybiel, and Everly Page. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Clare and Katherine (Adams) Ballard, Father-in-Law Robert Anderson and Mother In Law Mollie (Miller) Anderson, sister Barbara (Ballard) Thorpe and brother Thomas Ballard. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and dear friends Howard and Rita Shand.
He bravely served in the Army, embodying courage and patriotism throughout his military service. Ron and Arlene dedicated their lives to creating a loving home for their family. Before his retirement, he was part owner of Typewriter Exchange / Office Product Center. He was hard-working and appreciated by all his employees.
Before and after retirement, he enjoyed countless days at his cottage on Higgins Lake. He was an avid golfer and was always ready for a round. He and Arlene were primed to have fun and enjoy their family and their friends whenever or wherever. For many years, they went to Florida to escape the Michigan winters. Ron and Arlene were fortunate to have traveled to many places, returning with memories and photographs of their time together. He was happy, loved his family and all his friends, never missed a family get-together, loved his life and enjoyed it to the fullest.
Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. All who knew him could always recount a story or two that would bring a smile and lots of laughter.
We will celebrate his life and find comfort knowing his life was a blessing to all those whose life was touched by his, and he will live forever in our hearts.
Friends are welcome to join us for a Memorial of Ron at First Presbyterian Church 746 S Saginaw St, Flint, MI 48502 on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Ron will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
