RIDLEY, Fred Oliver “Rick” - of Flint, age 62, passed away on November 29, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center after his courageous battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be held at 4 PM Monday, December 2, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Rev. Larry Fussman officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Sunday 1- 6 PM and Monday 2:30 - 4 PM.
Rick was born in Flint, MI on October 9, 1951, son of the late Jack E. and Donna M. (Vinton) Ridley. He married Gina M. Accardo on July 18, 2013. He retired from AC Delco in 2006 after 30 years of service. Rick was a skilled draftsman, carpenter and certified Gibson repairman, who enjoyed building computers, guitars, amplifiers and homes. He was an avid guitar player, bowler, golfer and cook.
Rick will be deeply missed by all of those who adored him including his wife, Gina; children, Rene M. Rhyne, Michelle A. (Michal Kirkwood) Ridley and Craig (Lindsey) Ridley; grandchildren, Zoe Rhyne, Mason Ridley, Kennedy Ridley and Myles Kirkwood; siblings, Charlene Smith, Jack Jr. (Diane) Ridley, Janey (Jerry) Wilson, Nancy Tabbert, Keith (Angie) Ridley and Kristine (Roy) Streeter; mother–in–law and father–in–law, Beverly and Leonard Accardo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
