NAUM, Jerry T. - Of Grand Blanc, age 88, was welcomed into Gods open arms on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton, Father Matthew Peter-Butrie officiating.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

Visitation 2-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Parastas Service will be held 7pm Sunday at the funeral home. Jerry will be at the church 10am Monday until the time of the service.

Jerry was born in Macedonia on January 5, 1927, the son of the late Thomas and Alexandra Naum. Jerry married Sophia Vakalopoulos in Macedonia and she preceded him in death on August 31, 2004. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. He came to this country with empty pockets and left it having built a legacy. Many knew him for his crowning achievement Ambassador Coney Island which from 1967-1998 was a landmark in the community.

Surviving are children, John and wife Helen, Gus and wife Susie, and the late Helen Kirwan;

grandchildren, Nicholas Kirwan, Jerry, Sophia, Alexander, Christian, and Maggie Naum;

brother, George and wife (Niki) Naum;

brother-in-law, Kosta;

nieces and nephews, Kathy and husband Brady Damic, Jimmy and wife Stephanie Naum, Freda and husband Terry Owens, Minka and husband Chuck Owens.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Gona.
