Age 60 of Flint, Michigan passed away Monday January 18, 2016 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday January 22, 2016 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Marlene Webster officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday January 21 at the funeral home from 4pm to 8pm.
Derrick was born February 3, 1955 in Flint, Michigan the son of Arthur “George” and Margaret (Haggamaker) Holt.
He attended Owosso High School, class of 1973.
He married Lora Ann Wade on August 2, 2000; she predeceased him in 2014.
Derrick enjoyed outdoor activities, working out and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed flying remote control airplanes.
Derrick worked at General Motors as a Lineman for 31 years and was enjoying his extra family time that came with his retirement.
He is survived by his children JC Mark Holt and Rebecca Sue (Jesse) DeVilbiss; three brothers Doug, Charles and Glen Holt; two sisters Deb and Patti; several nieces and nephews and many loving family and friends.
Derrick was predeceased by his wife Lora; sons Derrick and Kenny and his parents.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
