HARWOOD, Tim Raymond - Age 63, of Flushing, died Friday, November 29, 2019. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Tim was born October 17, 1956 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Elmer and Katherine Gertrude (Wykes) Harwood. He married Tina McGinnis on December 31,1999 in Flint. Tim retired in 1994 from the U.S. Air Force serving in the Vietnam and Gulf wars. He also worked as the manager of Owosso Community Airport and Riders Hobby Shop. Tim was a member and Lieutenant Colonel of the Civil Air Patrol, former Wing Chief of Staff of Michigan Civil Air Patrol, lifetime member of Commemorative Air Force, lifetime member of the Air Force Sergeant Association, NRA and the Old Crow Society.
Mr. Harwood enjoyed model trains, planes, old movies, military memorabilia and stamp collecting, among many other hobbies. Surviving are: wife Tina McGinnis of Flushing; daughter, Katrina Crabtree of Arlinton, TX; son, Robert (Wendy) McGinnis of Owosso; grandchildren, Devin Crabtree, Kristina McGinnis, Michael Crabtree, Stephanie Harwood, Michaela Harwood, Aiden Harwood, Quinn Harwood , Domanick Cross; sister, Crystal (Larry) Palmer of Fenton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Katherine Harwood; great granddaughter, Emry Rose Crabtree; brothers, Tom, Dick and Harry Harwood; sisters, Barbara Dean and Patricia Hyde.
