LOCKWOOD, Glenda B. – of Clio, age 71, died peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Taylor Lodge of Clio. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5PM until 8PM, and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Glenda was born on July 15, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Linder and Anna (Kinder) Welker. She graduated from Northwestern High School in 1971. On June 12, 1971, Glenda married her soulmate, Daniel C. Hudson, together they had two children and enjoyed many wonderful years together before his passing on February 2, 1989. Glenda later found companionship in Leonard W. Lockwood, Sr., and they married on July 6, 2002. Leonard passed away on March 9, 2020. Throughout her life, Glenda was a devoted homemaker, deeply involved in her children's school activities, and an enthusiastic Girl Scout troop leader. She loved hunting for treasures at garage sales, always thrilled by a good deal. Glenda also adored Snoopy and enjoyed watching Bonanza. She was a gifted storyteller with a great sense of humor, always ready to laugh. Her love for the simple pleasures in life was evident, especially when it came to her sweet tooth. Glenda always had a stash of Hershey’s Kisses close by, and never turned down chocolate ice cream. Gentle and sweet-natured, Glenda was delightfully gullible at times. She was often described as a walking angel—the sweetest lady, with a heart of gold. Glenda never had an enemy and was loved by everyone who knew her. Above all, she loved her family, with an extraordinary, unbreakable bond with her identical twin sister. Their connection was truly one of a kind, a deep and lasting relationship that remained inseparable throughout their lives.
Surviving are: Daughter, Casey (Mitch) Broom; Son, Scott Hudson; Identical twin sister, Linda Wilson; Grandchildren: Hannah Broom, Connor Broom, Morganne Hudson, Danny Hudson, and Jacob Critchley; Great grandchildren: Brynlee, Colt, and Addison; Former mother in law, Mary Hudson; Special friends: Charron and Rick Fay. Glenda was also preceded in death by her beloved furry companions, her loyal and loving dogs, Buster and Lizzie, who brought her joy and comfort throughout the years.
