CARR, LISA R. – Of Fenton, age 65, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 12 p.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Service will be officiated by Dr. Gordon Mackinnon.
Lisa was born in Flint, Michigan on November 21, 1958, the daughter of James and Lela (Park) Keller. On March 10, 2015 she married Thomas Carr at the Fenton Winery & Brewery. Lisa had been part of the Moose Lodge, VFW, and the Eagles for many years.
She loved golfing, Jeep rides in the sand dunes or over the Mighty Mack and motorcycle rides on the back of Tom’s bike, both in Florida and Michigan. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed making meals for friends and family and kicking everyone out of her kitchen when it was time for dishes. She was a frequent “donator” at any casino along her and Tom’s travels.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her Bomba. No matter what, she was living life to the fullest.
Surviving are husband, Tom;
children, Derek Vowell and partner Jenny Pomeroy, Travis (Caitlin) Vowell, Nichole Carr and Tracie Carr;
grandchildren, Tyler, Sloane, Meredith, Amelia, Alexus, Noah, Chevelle and Christian;
great-grandchildren, Destiny and Ozzy;
siblings, Jim Keller, Nancy (Gordon) Mackinnon, Lynne Vanecek and Deb Hulett.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeffrey Keller.
