McDERMITT, Teddy Vern – of Flint, MI, age 74, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Jason Crum officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, 2 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-8 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 and 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Teddy was born in Flint, MI on September 18, 1944, son of the late Carroll and Maxine (Irish) McDermitt. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1967. Teddy married Donna Eddy on November 7, 1964. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies. Teddy was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
Teddy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna; 3 children, Teddy, Jr., McDermitt, Dawn Marie McDermitt and Jason (Jennifer) McDermitt; 3 grandchildren, Cory (Jennifer) McDermitt, Justin McDermitt and Jordann (Derrek Jennings) McDermitt; 2 great-granddaughters, Alexis McDermitt and MacKenzie McDermitt; great-granddaughter yet to be born, Emersynn Jennings; brother, Barry McDermitt; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky McDermitt.
