SHIPMAN, Deanna J. - Of Flint, age 81, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Genesee Gardens.
Visitation 1-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road and after 10am Saturday at the church until the time of the service.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the South Flint Tabernacle, G3450 South Saginaw Street in Burton.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Deanna was born in Flint on May 5, 1938, the daughter of the late James and Leona (Smith) Stephen. On May 27, 1958, she married JM Shipman and he preceded her in death in 1992. Deanna retired from General Motors in 1991 after 30 years of service. She was a member of South Flint Tabernacle.
Surviving are sons, Rodney Dale Shipman (Colleen), and Randall G. Shipman (Linda);
Grandchildren, Melissa (Tom), Anthony (Kaylan), Daniel (Erika) and Tamara (Ryan);
12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren;
Sisters, Beverly Joan Bass and Charlene Simmons (Willie).
