LINDSAY, Jack D. – of Davison, MI, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 with his family by his side. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 27, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 208 E 4th St., Davison; Dorothea Weist officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Adhering to social distancing rules, the family will receive visitors from 11AM-2 PM and 5-8 PM Friday, June 26, 2020 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Jack Dean Lindsay was born in Davison on December 17, 1932, son of late Raymond and Emma (Mosher) Lindsay. He married Rosemary Anderson on October 26, 1951 in Davison. She survives him. Jack grew up working in the family business, Lindsay TV and Appliance, in downtown Davison. He also worked and retired as a general foreman from AC Spark Plug in 1986. In his younger years he spent time at Auto City Speedway watching his brother’s sprint car races. He took great pride in landscaping and manicuring his yard. Jack enjoyed researching genealogy, going through old photographs and spending time with his beloved family.
Jack is survived by loving wife of 68 years, Rose Lindsay; two children, Pamela Lindsay, Raymond (Nancy) Lindsay; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Welch, Jamie (Bill) Brandon, Julie Pawlak, Anthony Crechiolo, Andrea (Timothy) Schaaf and Raymond Lindsay; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alison, Madison, Kelsey, Lauren, Liam, June, Emmeline and Jack; sister-in-law, Roxann Lindsay; brother-in-law, Don Bemis and many other loving family and friends. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol (Larry) Pawlak; great-great-granddaughter, Harper Dowless; siblings, William (Shirley) Lindsay, Betty (Gail) Fricke, Shirley Bemis, Merle (Alberta) Lindsay and Donald Lindsay.
