LAWRENCE, Frances L. - age 81, of Flint, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, September 27, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. David Harvey officiating. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-5 and 7-9 PM Thursday at the funeral homes. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM Thursday night. Mrs. Lawrence was born December 5, 1931, the daughter of Robert D. and Donna M. (Merckel) Scott. She was a 1949 graduate of Flint Central High School and married Keith A. Lawrence on May 20, 1950 in Flint. She was a member of the Flint Golf Club where her husband, Keith was Past President and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are: three children, Dr. Linda Lawrence Murphy and husband, Dr. Brad Murphy of Flint; Scott Lawrence and wife, Lou of Fenton, Dr. Bruce Lawrence of Grand Blanc; 13 grandchildren, Randi, Donovan, Jacqui, Katie, Jeni, Kyle, Lindsey, Lauren, Devin, Ryan, Rachel, Robert, and Kelsey; five great grandchildren, Kal, Darren, Trip, Jane and Reese. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith in 2003 and her parents. She will always be remembered for her fierce love and devotion to her family.
