FAYE ANN ARRINGTON

Born: 12/29/1950
Died: 7/17/2020
Age: 69
Community: MT. MORRIS, MI

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Faye Ann Arrington, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on July 17, 2020. After years of battling Congestive Heart Failure and COPD, she fell victim to a suspected brain aneurysm while essentially in the arms of her loving husband, Ronald. This took place in the comfort of her own home in Mt. Morris, MI. She was in her 69th year. Born in moments after her twin sister Kaye on December 29, 1950. Both girls were born and raised in a home to a loving mother, although both grew up with a very compromised childhood. This developed a strong set of values and character in her. She was intensely loyal and loved her family dearly. She instilled these values in her son and daughter and they have served both well. Stewarding life after her loss will be hurtful, but these values will carry on without end. She was introduced to Ronald Arrington at a mutual friend's wedding in 1972, as he was visiting a friend after his stint in the United States Army. She is survived by her loving husband Ronald, son Christopher, and daughter Amanda. Also surviving her are her brother, Fred Proctor, grandchildren Dyllan and Molly Canute, and son-in-law Derrick Canute. Faye loved her "fur babies" as much as her family. "Grand-Pups" Gus and Moe meant the world to her. Likewise, she was not well the last few years of her life, and she longed to get to know “Grand-Pups Daisy and Dusty” even more. All will miss her presence in their life each day. She worked a variety of jobs in her life. From a waitress at Ponderosa, which played a role in she and Ron falling in love, to cleaning hospital and hotel rooms, to finally retiring from Jan's Dry Cleaning a few years ago. She had an impeccable work ethic and did anything she could do to selflessly provide for her family. Preceded in death by her are loving mother, Bernice Proctor, Stepfather Fred Proctor, and best friend and twin Sister Kaye Riselay. At different times in her life, she enjoyed bowling in women's leagues as well as couples' leagues with Ronald. She loved to play bingo. She loved to sew doll clothes for her daughter and was no stranger to craft a costume if needed. She adored treasure hunting at flea markets and thrift stores. She also loved creating projects for Ronald ("Ronnie") to work on to make her happy. He considered it a labor of love. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Faye's life will be held at Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, 901 Garland Street, Flint, Michigan, 48503. The showing will be held inside from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The procession will leave shortly after 1 p.m. and arrive at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 11163 Clio Road, Clio, Michigan, 48420 slightly before 2 p.m. The funeral service will take place outside to honor social-distancing and accommodate more attendees.
