Neuel “Denny” Denman of Davison formally of Lapeer age 88 died Sunday December 22, 2019 at the Landings of Genesee Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 27, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison, MI 48423. Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating, burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family will receive visitors Thursday December 26, 2019 from 4:00-7:00pm at St. John Catholic Church. A Memorial Service by Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree will be held at 6 pm Thursday evening at the church. Mr. Denman will also lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring to make contributions in Denny’s memory to Outreach East or St. John Memorial Fund.
Neuel was born in Flint, Michigan on August 26, 1931 the son of the late Neuel and Elizabeth (Hinman) Denman and resided in the Davison and Lapeer area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Lorraine Marie Valley March 19, 1955 in Angola Indiana and she preceded him death June 16, 2017. Answering the call of his country Neuel served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Denman was member of St. John the Evangelist Church, St. John 50 and over Club, American Legion Post 366, Davison Knights of Columbus Council 4090, and Past President of Local Union 948 I.B.E.W. Mr. Denman also was Representative at Large 4th District Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. He was employed by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 34 years and retiring in 1989.
Survived by daughters: Teena and husband Scott Beam, Anita and husband Lawrence Norcross, Rita Beam and John Gramling, Lisa Denman and David Martin; 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 6 great grandchildren. He preceded death by son: Raymond Denman; brothers: Beldon J. Denman, and Daniel Denman; sisters: Marylou Stoubagh, Lucelle Dersha, and Corona Heidel.
