JACOB, Virginia - Of Flint, age 90, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 746 South Saginaw Street, Flint,
Pastor Paul Ytterock officiating.
Burial in Assyrian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the Assyrian Cemetery.
Visitation 3-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Prayer Service will be held 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Saturday at church until the time of the service.
Virginia was born in Flint on August 3, 1926. She loved cooking, family and dancing. She loved life and socializing. Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Assyrian Club of Flint.
She married Samuel Jacob on May 22, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2009.
Surviving are children, Rachel and husband Norm Abdella, Gregory and wife Denise Jacob, James and wife Lori Jacob;
6 grandchildren, Andrea and husband Jim Ananich, Anthony Jacob and Judith Derboven, Michael Abdella, Gina and husband Terry Glavin, Erica Jacob and Nicolas Jacob;
Great-grandchild, Jacob Ananich;
sister, Nancy Miner;
and many special friends.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jacob, parents, Simon and Rachel Joseph, sisters, Helen Moorehatch and Sarah Benjamin and brother, Simon Joseph.
