GILBERT, Marcia – of Burton, age 90, passed away October 11, 2017 at The Pines of Burton. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.
Marcia was born in Flint, MI on March 22, 1927, daughter of the late George and Cora (Plain) Thomas. She married Robert Gilbert on March 20, 1948. Marcia worked in the payroll department for GM. She enjoyed needlework, sewing and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Marcia is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert; children, Roberta (Clare) Morton, Richard (Shelley) Gilbert and Carol (Jim) Daly; one granddaughter, seven grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Patt) Thomas.
