GROULX, Dennis T. – of Flint, age 76, sadly left us August 24, 2024. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to spend time with your loved ones.
Denny was born in Flint on May 30, 1948, son of the late Fay and Ethel (Taylor) Groulx. He graduated from St. Mary’s School in Flint. Denny started working for AC Spark Plug in 1967 in various positions, where he made many memories and dear friends. He retired as a plant financial analyst for Delphi in December of 2007. Denny had a love for music, especially dancing to the oldies. His final moments on earth were spent listening to some of his favorite tunes. Denny had beautiful penmanship, often being asked to write out invitations for various occasions. He could often be found enjoying a game of Scrabble with his family, always with his Scrabble dictionary at hand to answer any challenge. Denny loved celebrating and decorating for holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. The atmosphere was everything when he decorated and organized the home, even down to the aroma of the house. His children will always remember the home being filled with the smell of homemade bread and candies. He adored his grandchildren and loved being called “Just Grandpa”.
Denny is survived by his loving children, Sean Groulx, Jason Groulx, Kelly (Doug) Maas, Brennen Groulx, and Ashley (Jess) Groulx; eight grandchildren, Halli Hood, Madison (Bobby) Davis, Hunter Groulx, Sydney Groulx, Alexis Maas, Elijah Smith, Amaya Smith and Hannah Smith; siblings, Charles (Cindi) Groulx, Cheryl “KC” (Marty) Petrizzo, Michele (Ed) Parker, and Michael (Gregg) Groulx; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by one brother, James Lee Groulx.
