Roberta M. "Bobbie" Davis, 83 of Gaylord and formally of South Boardman, passed away on Friday November 5, 2010 at her home. She was born on April 15, 1927 in Pontiac. The daughter of the late Arthur and Augusta Smith.
Roberta Married Weldon D. Davis on January 1, 1949 in Pontiac. She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Roberta retired in 1986 from GMC Truck and Coach Plant in Pontiac after 37 years of service. Bobbie moved to South Boardman in 1987 with her husband Weldon and recently moved to Gaylord. She was an avid reader and enjoyed donating her time and talents to her favorite 67 charities. Roberta was an active member of the South Boardman Senior Citizen Center, South Boardman American Legion Auxiliary and was very involved with the woman's Club from the GMC Truck and Coach Plant. She was a member of the Northern Michigan Restoration Branch Church.
Survived by her children Stanley DeForest (Susan) Davis of St. Augustine Fl., Wayne Kay (Devora) Davis of Gaylord; her grandchildren, Holly Marie (Chad) Ormsbee, Eric Wayne (Sandra) Davis, Heather Suzanne (Darrell) Rousse and Andrea Lynn (Jay) Johnson; her siblings, Albert Smith, Kenneth Smith, William Smith, Eleanor Mack, Richard Smith, Rosalie, Barbara, and Cynthia Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice Larr and loving husband Weldon D. Davis.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8, at 12 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Boardman Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to American Legion Auxillary, South Boardman, Michigan.
