HINES, Bette – of New Lothrop, age 76, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene, 7406 S. Saginaw St. in New Lothrop. Pastor Paul Brashaw officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 4-8PM and at the church on Satruday from 10AM until time of services at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County (HHSC) or the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene.
Bette was born June 9, 1938 in Holloway, MI to the late Fred and Stella (Rosbury) Gottschalk. She married Alvie Hines on August 31, 1981 in Corunna and resided in New Lothrop since. Mrs. Hines attended New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene. She volunteered for the Corunna Ambulance Service, enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, being with Alvie and her family.
Surviving are: husband, Alvie; children, Earl Castle of Morrice, Mary Thomas of St. Clair, MO, Ricky (Jeannie) Hines of Plainfield, NH; son-in-law, Roger Camp of Oakley; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; siblings, Susan Irwin, Phyllis Conger and Daniel Gottschalk; many nieces and nephews.
