HAYES, Arlene E. - age 86, of Fenton, passed away quietly at home, Sunday, September 29, 2019. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, October 4, 2019 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 14176 Fenton Rd, Fenton. Rev. Dr. Mark Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 12 PM until the time of service Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Transfiguration Lutheran Church.

Arlene was born May 30, 1933 in Flint, the daughter of Harry Charles and Emma Katherine (Larson) Isaacson. She worked for Buick Motor Company until she was united in marriage to her beloved husband Charles Leo Hayes on December 3, 1955. She then became a full time homemaker. After raising their four children she was then employed as a receptionist at an Optometrist office. Arlene enjoyed crafts, sewing, baking, and knitting.

Surviving are: three children, Lori (John) Zengerle, Michael (Lynn) Hayes, Leann Lambert; six grandchildren, Maryn (Adam) Weimer, Sean Zengerle, Chelsey (Brian) Morrison, Brittney Lambert, Kyle Lambert, Cameron (Jaynie) Shiflett; seven great-grandchildren, Brian, Jr., Jackson, Sommer, Claire, Taylar, Tyler, Beckett; and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Charles; and daughter, Lynda Howard.. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
