KNORR, Virginia Kathleen (Jeanie) – Of Clio, age 79, died Monday, July 27, 2015 in Lapeer.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Marcus officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Virginia was born in Petoskey, Michigan on March 20, 1936, the daughter of Fred and Eva Mae Laubrich.
On January 19, 1957 she married Lester Knorr from Hillman, MI.
Virginia greatly enjoyed being Treasurer of TOPS of Otisville. She enjoyed playing Bingo and greatly loved her family and friends.
Her sweet, kind and giving spirit will be greatly missed.
Surviving are two sons, Gerald (Tamara) Knorr of Clio and
Timothy (Denise) Knorr of Clio;
one daughter, Jennifer Knorr of Mt. Morris;
six grandchildren, Steve, Bradley, Tara, Jeff, Tiffany and Kimberly;
fifteen great-grandchildren;
sister-in-law, Mary Laubrick;
brothers and sisters-in-law, James Knorr of Hillman, Michigan,
Margaret Miller of Otter Lake,
Fred and wife Roma Knorr of Davison and
Charlotte Chauvin of Otter Lake;
several nieces, nephews; very special friend, Lucy Johnson and a host of many other special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, on June 29, 2010; parents, Fred and Eva Mae Laubrich; brothers, Leon Laubrick and Lionel; sister, Doris Kingman.
