WANDREY, Shirley Ann (Puckett) – of Burton, age 74, passed away April 11, 2017 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Bob Ray officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Shirley was born in Wayne, MI on February 4, 1943, daughter of the late Oscar Newell Puckett, Elizabeth (Simmons) Puckett and stepmother, Juanita Marcelle Puckett. She graduated from Evangel College and attended Michigan State University. Shirley married Thomas J. Wandrey, Sr. on June 24, 1967 in Plymouth, MI. She was an elementary teacher for Bentley Community Schools for 37 years. Shirley enjoyed bingo, walking, baseball, softball and bowling, but most of all she loved her kids and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Wandrey, Sr.; sons, Thomas J. (TeriJo) Wandrey, Jr. and Timothy J. (Melissa) Wandrey; grandchildren, Tyler (Madeline) Gallaty, Aidan Johnson, Alexa Johnson, Allie Wandrey, Lily Johnson and Rose Johnson; sisters, Doris Johnson, Lura (Pat) Morin and Marilyn (Bob) Ray; brother, Jim Puckett; brother-in-law Roger Miller. She was preceded in death by brother, Oscar Jr. and Robert Puckett; sister, Esther Miller; brother-in-law, Bernard and sister-in-law, Adelle.
