Obituary for Dora E. Spangler
Dora E. Spangler, age 88, of Holly, died Sept. 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thurs. Sept. 20, 2018 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Visitation will be from 3-9 PM Wednesday. Mrs. Spangler was born in Flint on Aug. 10, 1930 to Roy and Elizabeth (Condiff) Sims. She was the Valedictorian for the Beecher High School Class of 1948, the first to graduate with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She retired from Buick after 41 years of service. Dora loved gardening, bridge, and bird watching, especially orioles, bluebirds, and humming birds. She is survived by 3 children, Gary (Patty) Spangler of Holly, Scott Spangler of Holly, and Lynn Martin of Linden; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Windle, Garrett Evans, Lee Spangler, Kadee Spangler, Jacklyn Weber, and Alyssa Divens; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey and her brother Monte Sims. Memorial donations may be made to the Loose Center of Linden. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com |
