Phyllis Kathryn Teichert of Davison, age 87, died Monday July 20, 2020 at Ascension-Genesys. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. Gathering time for family and friends will be held from 2-5 pm Thursday July 23, 2020 at Hansen Funeral Home, Downtown Davison. Private burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Due to CDC Guidelines, social distancing and limited gathering at one time, the family understands those who may or may not want to join them and they respect your decisions. Those desiring may make contributions in Phyllis’s memory to Hurley Children’s Foundation or Genesee County Humane Society.
Phyllis was born in Flint Michigan on November 4, 1932 the daughter of the Alfred & Doris Jones and had spent most of her life in Flint and the Davison area the last twenty years. She was joined in marriage to James Teichert on July 24, 1954 and he preceded her in death on October 19, 2011. Phyllis was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are children: Deborah Sutton, Diane Williams, James Teichert, and Jeffrey Teichert. She also leaves grandchildren: Michael Sutton, Marcus Sutton (Jacalyn Wilmot), Ashlee Williams-Horton (Chris), and great grandchildren Cam Horton, Cade Horton, and Essie Wilmot-Sutton.
