BERRY, Margaret Anne (Margie) went to meet our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 12 at home in the presence of her loving family.
Margaret was born on July 2, 1934 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Michael and Ann (Urlaub) Louis. Her Dad worked across the river in Weirton, West Virginia in the steel mill. From there they moved to Flint in 1938 where she attended Grade school and later would graduate from Northern High School. She attended Baker Business College. After college, she worked as a Secretary for a Lawyer and an Insurance Company. Margie worked at AC as a Specialist, reading blueprints for the Military. In the Spring of 1950, Margie roller skated competitively, this is where she would meet a partner not only for the rink but for the rest of her life. On August 23, 1952 she married the love of her life, Mickey Berry. Their married life started in Sampson, New York where Mickey was stationed in the Airforce. Margie worked as a Private Secretary for the Adjutant General of the Base, while there. She would later follow Mickey to England. This is where they would start their family, before returning to the States. After his Service, they would return to Flint to raise their family. The family would grow, enhanced by 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Margie and Mickey celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 23, 2017. Margie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She belonged to a Card Club, Ladies bowling league and a mixed couples league. Gardening was one of her favorite passions. Another great passion, was when they could spend time at their weekend get-away in Oscoda, made even better by visits from the kids and grandkids.
