BITTLESTON, MaLinda Kay Bakeman (Hale) – of Davison, MI, age 72, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 5 PM Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Chris Radcliffe officiating. The family will receive visitors 4-5 PM Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. MaLinda will be laid to rest with her children at Crestwood Cemetery, 2020 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Dementia), in MaLinda’s memory.
MaLinda was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 3, 1947, the youngest of five children to the late Hartley and Mary Evelyn (Keech) Hale. She married Lester David Bakeman in St. Cloud, Minnesota in 1965 and they divorced in 1980. MaLinda was a homemaker and mother during her marriage to Lester. Then, in 1982, MaLinda married Daniel Eugene Bittleston and they resided in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida for 28 years where she worked at McDonald’s for 12 years. MaLinda moved back to Michigan in 2009 to enjoy spending time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
MaLinda is survived by her son, Donald Lester (Julie) Bakeman of Davison, MI; 5 grandchildren, Melinda (Pete) Wright of Burton, MI, Samantha Mabbitt of Warren, MI, Calee (Orlan) Ray of Davison, MI, Logan Mabbitt of Davison, MI and Jacob Bakeman of Davison, MI; 4 great-grandchildren, Zavier, Ember, A.J. and Calcifer; sister, Nancy (Howard) Green of Jacksonville, Florida; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Kathrine Ann Bakeman and Oliver Hartley Bakeman; former husband, Lester David Bakeman; husband, Daniel Eugene Bittleston; sister, Betty Ann (Hale) Hadlock; 2 brothers, Hartley Hale, Jr. and Gary Wayne Hale.
