KRUEGER, Geneva Joan (King) – of Burton, MI, age 83, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, November 1, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Thursday, October 31, 2024 and 10-11 AM Friday, November 1, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home. A Memorial Service, conducted under the auspices of the Davison VFW Post #4087 Auxiliary, will be held 6:30 PM Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home.
Geneva was born in Flint, MI on October 20, 1941, daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen (Marien) King. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1959. Geneva King married Henry Krueger on October 1, 1960, sharing a beautiful life together until his passing in 1991. A dedicated professional, Geneva retired in 2012 after many years as Treasurer for the State of Michigan VFW, a role that reflected her commitment to service and leadership. She was a proud lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Burton Post #2777, where she devoted countless hours to community work and supporting veterans. Geneva found great joy in raising her grandchildren, nurturing their dreams and instilling values of kindness and generosity. Her warm spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Geneva is survived by 3 children, Hank (Deborah) Krueger, Dean Krueger and Gary (Laury) Krueger; 4 grandchildren, Hank (Destany) Krueger Jr., Andrew Krueger, Zachary Krueger and Chelsea (Daryl Walters) Krueger; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Jerry (Beverly) King, Kenneth (Susan) King, Joe (Sharon) King, Charlotte (Joe) Hughes and Audrey (Brad) Litz; special “daughter”, Shannon (Tim) Cone; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Helen King; husband, Henry Krueger; 2 siblings, Stephen (Judy) King and Sandra King.
